Seguso Vetri D’Arte Bullicante Murano
Glass Red Shell Bowl
Italy c. 1955
A very rare example of the hand blown double swirl shell bowl attributed to Seguso Vetri D’Arte for Murano between 1940-1950.
This ruby red Venetian art glass is a perfect execution of the infamous bullicante technique, with hundreds of controlled bubbled dispersed evenly throughout the body.
The Seguso family has been dedicated to the art of Murano glass in Venice, Italy since 1397. 23 generations have passed down knowledge, art and passion at the highest level. MOMA, the Victoria and Albert Museum, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art are among the many museums, in addition to galleries and personal collectors, who have glass by Seguso Vetri d`Arte in their collections.
Condition is excellent.
Very minor signs of use, primarily a rough point when running a finger over the tip of one of the spirals.
This is barely visible and around 1.5mm.
Dimensions: 17cm x 13cm x 5cm
